Guten Abend, da bin ich wieder

Ich bin da über ein skurriles Gefährt gestolpert, das wollte ich euch nicht vorenthalten: Wer kann etwas über dieses Fahrzeug sagen ?

Stimmt, die Ähnlichkeit ist frappierend.
Aber das Eine ist gewollt gewesen und angepasst, das Andere eher aus der Not entstanden.

Ich frage mich ernsthaft, welchen Sinn das haben soll.

Diese Frage ist wohl schwer zu beantworten, aber es hatte was mit einem Krieg zu tun, war aber wohl genauso erfolglos wie dieser sinnlos

ich mische mich 'mal (wieder) ein, damit Eure Suchbemühungen nicht vermeidbar lang andauern. Das INet ist leider nur zu ~50% richtig mit seinen Angaben:

Der Erbauer war Alfred Angas Scott. Auftrag- & Geldgeber war die Flugzeugfirma Vickers.
Das erste Modell mit 498ccm-Motor stand 1916 (nicht 1914) auf seinen drei Rädern.
Die militärische Nutzung als Kriegs(einsatz)waffentransporter war geplant, jedoch nie umgesetzt worden.
Die Umrüstung auf zivile Nutzung und 2.Zyl.-578ccm-Antrieb hatte KRäder mit Seitenwagen als Vorbild. Hier sollte allerdings alles eine Einheit bilden.
So konnten 1921>1924 ~20 Fahrzeuge verkauft werden. Das Suchbild zeigt ein Modell-1924. Im INet läuft es als Erstling von 1916, jedoch datiert auf 1914 ...,

The Scott Sociable was an English automobile manufactured from 1921 to 1925 by the Scott Autocar Company of Bradford, Yorkshire an offshoot of the Scott Motorcycle Company.

Scott SociableDuring World War I Alfred Angas Scott had made sidecar machine gun carriers. From these he developed a three wheel car with two wheels in line and a third one set alongside but slightly behind the other rear wheel all supported by a triangulated tubular steel frame. Although the layout still resembled that of a motorcycle and sidecar combination it had wheel steering by rack and pinion. Its power was supplied by the Scott Company's own water-cooled 578 cc twin-cylinder two-stroke engine with drive transmitted through a three speed gearbox to the offside rear wheel by shaft. There was no reverse gear.

The vehicle was intended for military use but orders failed to come so he converted it to civilian use and announced it in 1916 as the Sociable, but production had to wait until 1921. About 200 were made before production stopped in 1924. Complete cars cost £273 in 1921 falling to £135 by 1924.
